 January has been a busy month from many perspectives here at Edward Johnson with the boundary review, our curriculum focus and winter activities.
January is has been a mild weather month and this has helped our DASH program get started outside! DASH happens one recess per day for the K, Grades 1 and 2 students. Thanks to all of our Grades 4,5 and 6 student DASH leaders for your time and talents. Thanks also to the YMCA staff for training some of our Junior students!

The Scholastic Book Fair which took place during the last week of school in December was a great success! Thank you to all parents and students who stopped in at the Fair. The library made a profit of approximately $1500! All of this money goes directly towards the purchase of new library and classroom books, as well as much needed library equipment. Thank you for supporting your school library.

We continue to collect email addresses of Edward Johnson families who wish to have information from the school and school council sent directly to them by email. If you are interested in this program, please click the Sign-Up box on this page!

Parents are reminded that to speak at the Board Meeting on Tuesday, January 24 a written application to appear as a delegation must be made by Wednesday, January 18 at noon.

The third and final report of the Edward Johnson PS JK-6 FI Boundary Review is now available on the board's website. It will be presented to the Business Operations Committee on January 17, and voted on by Trustees at the Board Meeting on January 24.
