Guelph Police Services
Ask the Cop
The Guelph Police Service has a High School Resource Officer (HSRO) program directed to students in Grade 9 through Grade 12. These officers work closely with high school administration to promote a safe, positive learning environment for students and staff within the school facility. They provide guidance and direction to students when needed, and participate in class discussions, assemblies, and parent groups. HSRO officers provide a positive police role, and work to promote a better understanding of law enforcement. These officers assist in the investigation and enforcement of unacceptable behaviour within the school and immediate area. The four current High School Resource Officers are: Jay Martin, Rebecca Dobbie, Mary Ellen Jones, and Mike Gatto.
The High School Resource Officer for GCVI is Constable Jay Martin. Please feel free to contact Constable Jay Martin if you have any issues, questions, or concerns.
