Student Resource
The resource room offers a variety of tools, strategies and programs to assist all students. The tools, programs, and strategies that are available to the students to help be more successful with their class work include:
- Individual assistance to develop organizational and study skills
- Individual attention in any subject area during class time
- Suggestions to classroom teachers as to how best to meet student exceptionalities
- Room 103 is a quiet work place open through out the school day
- Room 103 is open for extra time on tests and exams
In addition, we have growing computer capabilities to help meet student needs, including:
- Laptop computers(for student use in the classroom)
- AlphaSmart portable word processing keyboards (for student use in the classrooms)
- Internet for online research
- WORD, WORDPERFECT, and APPLEWORKS word processing
- WRITE OUTLOUD reads back to you what you write it
- WORDQ is a writing-aid software used in conjunction with a word processor which makes suggestions for words that might be used within the context of what is being written and which reads back what has been written
- DRAGON NATURALLY SPEAKING ia a writing-aid software that types as you dictate verbally
- KURZWAIL 3000 is a reading software that reads any text found on the computer
