Spring is officially here! It is difficult to imagine that we have two months of school remaining. The next two months will be really busy with numerous activities happening at the school. We hope that you can join us for our Education Week Open House on May 10th. The purpose of this evening is to celebrate the accomplishments of our students in the classroom.

Our annual Jesse’s Journey event was held on April 25th. We appreciate all the support that has been provided from this event. We want to give special thanks to the Fergus Scotiabank that has generously matched the school’s contribution of $768.59.
We are in the process of planning for next year. If you have any questions or concerns about next year, please bring those to my attention. The development of class lists, teacher assignments, and schedules will all be completed in the month of May.

As always, if you have any questions or concerns about our school, please feel free to contact me directly at the school.
Have a great month of May!

Mr. Viveiros

I hope you all had an opportunity to enjoy this wonderful weather with your family over the March Break. The week off has provided all of us some well needed rest and helped us to prepare for the upcoming months of school.
Recently I sent home a letter outlining some enhancements to our school. I hope you received this information. We look forward to more enhancements as School Council will continue with the Playground Enhancement project. It may seem early to be considering the next school year, however, the planning process has begun. When possible, I will provide information about next year with regards to staffing and classrooms at our School Council meetings. In addition, further information will be given in our next newsletter regarding specific plans for 2012/13.

daffodilsIt seems that winter never did arrive and we are in anticipation of the Spring Season. I hope you had an opportunity to enjoy Family Day and take some well deserved family time. This past month you had an opportunity to review report cards with your children. The reflection about the report card at home is a very important process in helping our students reach their goals. Please take time to complete the report comments that have our students reflect on the work they are proud of and the areas they will seek to improve. We are very proud of the achievements of our students and of particular the improvements that were noted amongst many students.
