Each year the Education Quality and Accountability Office (EQAO) conducts the Ontario Literacy Test (OSSLT).  Successful completion of the OSSLT is a graduation requirement.  The Upper Grand District School Board is providing an opportunity to prepare for the test, which will be administered on March 29, 2012.  The Smart Start Reading and Writing program is offered and provides students a chance to spend 15 hours improving reading and writing skills with the help of a qualified teacher.  Amanda Storey will be instructing students in order to prepare effectively for the Literacy Test.   The Smart Start program will start Wednesday February 8, 2012.  (The start date has been adjusted because of the change in the start date for semester 2.) If you are interested in the program please contact the school.
