We have had another busy month here at Central Public School. Our Junior boys and girls participated in a floor hockey tournament at GCVI on April 14. We are very proud of the sportsmanship and skills demonstrated by our players. Special thanks go out to their coach, Mrs. McNabb.

Without question the highlight of the month and one of our highlights of the year was the Spring Drama Night on April 26th. Students and their teachers had been working hard for months to make their performance of ‘I’ve Got Music’ very special. I know the show was enjoyed by all who were there on that special evening. This was followed by Music Monday, our annual student talent show organized by Mr. McFalone. It was a wonderful opportunity to enjoy musical presentations by many of our talented students from Grade 1 to 6.

On Wedesday, May 2nd our community will be working together after school to spruce up the play ground. Everyone is encouraged to lend a hand and there is pizza for all our helpers.

We have been invited again by the City of Guelph to to participate in the Multi-Cultural Festival official flag raising ceremony at 11:30 on May 30th. This will be our 6th year participating in this special civic event.

Read this months newsletter and you’ll hear about some of the special events and activities coming up in the month of May.
