Getting Ready
To confirm you child's bus route or if your address or other information has changed please call 519-824-4119. If your child is a late registration you may receive your transportation information late. It is a good idea to review the busing policies and procedures with your child and be aware that bus safety may include the placement of cameras on some buses.
Bus Code of Conduct
- Follow the directions of your driver
- Be at your bus stop 5 minutes before your pick-up time
- Stay seated
- Keep your hands and feet to yourself
- No eating, chewing gum or swearing
- Keep books, lunch boxes and other bulky items on your lap
- Students are responsible for any deliberate damage done to the bus
- Items are not to be thrown within the bus or out of the bus
- There should be no part of your body outside of the bus window
- You need to use your "inside voice" only.
- Requests to ride on a different bus, or to get off at a different stop, are only granted in an emergency. A note outlining the request must be signed by the Principal and shown to the bus driver.
Inclement Weather
- Centre Wellington and Town of Erin Buses
and Taxis
- When you hear the radio announcement, "All school taxis and buses in Centre Wellington and the Town of Erin will not be operating today" -your child's bus or taxi is cancelled and the school is closed.
- During inclement weather, please listen to:
Erin Radio 101.5 FM; 1460 AM CJOY; 106.1
Magic FM; Oldies 1090 AM; 99.1 FM CBC;
105.3 Kool FM; Newstalk 570 AM; 96.7 FM
CHYM; or, watch CKCO-TV. These stations will annouce cancellations.
- Dufferin School Buses and Taxis
- When you hear the radio announcement, , "All school taxis and buses in Dufferin will not be operating today" -your child's bus or taxi is cancelled.
- During inclement weather, please listen to: 1460 AM CJOY; 106.1 Magic FM; 99.1 FM,
CBC; Newstalk 570 AM; 96.7 FM
I CHYM;98.1 FM CHFI; 680 AM CFTR; 92.5, KISS FM; or, watch the A Channel News or CKCO-TV. These stations will announce cancellations.
- Important to Note: Students who live in
Dufferin, but attend Brisbane Public School
are affected by two busing announcements.
If buses are cancelled in Centre Wellington and the Town of Erin, then students living in Dufferin County will not attend school that day - Bus cancellations are reported on the Wellington-Dufferin Student Transportation Services website after 6:30 a.m.
