3 students at a deskWe are looking forward to the Read-A-Thon that School Council has spearheaded with the kick-off on January 31st. Organizers have done an incredible amount of work lining up authors, entertainers and community members and in obtaining items for prizes. It should be a very exciting day! Thank you School Council for your support in motivating our students to read!

boy in winterIt was great to see so many parents who took the time to come in and talk to the teachers about their child’s progress. The new progress reports are an excellent opportunity to set goals for your child for the upcoming report card in February.

As the weather quickly changes, and we get excited about the onset of winter activities, please remind your child about the importance of safety while playing, walking and running in slippery wet and snowy conditions.

pumpkinIt has been a busy September and with the reorganization of the junior classes, we had to move a few students as well as create new schedules. We now look forward to a smoother October and beyond. Once again, many thanks go to our School Council for all of the work that went in the organization of a very successful BBQ. Thanks also go to staff for making time to meet with parents and for showing off their students’ work.
